Add nature art to your Christmas tree with this acrylic painting of a chickadee on a wood slice ornament.  These cute birds are common visitors to backyard bird feeders!  The painting was inspired by one of my photos of a Carolina chickadee, but this could also be considered a black-capped chickadee.  The two species are almost identical!  I added a hand-painted evergreen in the snow on a winter day to the back of this ornament.

This ornament is approximately 3 1/2 inches in height, 3 1/2 inches in width, and 3/8 inches thick.  I applied a polycrylic seal to the finished slice to prevent the wood from cracking and the paint from chipping. Jute twine is threaded through the ornament, so it's ready to hang on your tree!
