Hand-Painted Downy Woodpecker Christmas Ornament

A downy woodpecker, the tiniest of woodpeckers, is celebrated on this hand-painted wood slice Christmas ornament! I painted an evergreen tree in the snow on the back of this ornament. This ornament will add a touch of nature's beauty to your tree, or would make a great gift for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

- Wood type - pine
- Ornament size - approximately 3 1/4 inches in height, 3 1/4 inches in width, and 3/8 inches thick
- I paint with acrylics, and then seal the entire ornament with a water-based polycrylic to prevent the wood slice from cracking and the paint from chipping. Sealing also enhances the paint color and wood grain.
- Jute twine is threaded through the ornament for hanging
